There's a face in the mirror
Who do you [who do you want] see
Want to see

Is there a meaning
to every crevice and crease
Who do you see

There's a face in the puddle
lining the sidewalk
Rippling, cascading with every step
I cling to this mirror
It's the only thing that I have left

You're slipping through my fingertips
You're slipping and I can't keep you in place
But I'll try
As you slip through my

There's this dream I keep chasing
I'm running in place but I can't realize
Since you're backing away
Slipping from my

You're slipping through my fingertips
You're slipping and I can't keep you in place
But I'll try
As you slip through my

There's a face in the mirror
Who do you [who do you want] to see

I know it's not like
LITERARY GENIUS or anything
But this has been the first poem/song I've written since...
The last thing I updated
And that was a long time ago
To be honest I'm still surprised I have a handle on the English language after all of this time.

The lyrics are kind of plain, but it's a song, and the actually meter is really incredible
IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF.

Analyzing this in a way I don't really want to
This completely coincides with my life right now, aka, my preoccupation with looks and people slipping away because of my changes.
You see it all makes sense.
I wish I didn't analyze it. Too bad it's burned into my brain D:
